RYU Apparel Supports Fitness Resolutions with New Up-Down Program
January 16, 2017
(VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA) Jan. 16, 2017 – RYU Apparel Inc. (TSX VENTURE: RYU; Frankfurt Stock Exchange: RYA), creator of tailored innovation for the urban athlete, is excited to introduce its Up-Down program, which officially launched on Jan. 1, 2017.
The Up-Down program is designed to encourage all athletes – from professional trainers to everyday gym patrons – to achieve their fitness goals by providing an added incentive to stay or get fit. Any customer whose size changes, either by adding muscle or losing weight, within one year of purchasing a RYU clothing item will be invited to return that piece to RYU or donate it to charity, and RYU will replace the item in a new size at 50 percent off. The program not only motivates customers to start their goals but also helps to ensure they can maintain a fashionable and functional workout wardrobe.
Canadian customers are being asked to return items to one of RYU’s two stores. U.S. customers are being asked to contact RYU here to initiate the process, and they are encouraged to donate items to the charities of their choice, if they forego returning the item directly to RYU. All items that are returned directly to RYU, either at a store location or by mail, will be donated to Vancouver-based organizations.
“We know athletes work incredibly hard day in and day out to achieve their personal fitness goals,” said Marcello Leone, CEO, President and Chairman of the Board for RYU. “As we are immersed in the fitness community, we are thrilled to do our part in supporting them in any way we can.”
