(Jan. 27, 2021) – Inspired by the exceptional flora and fauna found deep in the Chilean forest preserve of Parque Oncol, Selk’bag is excited to launch its newest wearable sleeping bag made from 100% recycled material, the Rainforest. The limited edition Rainforest bag is designed to keep you cozy for a range of indoor and outdoor adventures including road trips, camping, hiking in nature, working from home or weekend lounging pursuits.

As one of the largest reserves of biodiversity on the planet, Parque Oncol is nestled on the coast of Valdivia, in northern Chilean Patagonia. At the southern end of the world, the region is home to an immense collection of plants and animals, many of which can only be found there.

Now available for pre-order exclusively on Selk’bag, the Rainforest is crafted with 100% post-consumer recycled materials including fabric that utilizes 54 discarded plastic bottles to create each bag. Filled with 100% post-consumer recycled insulation, the Rainforest also features double slider zippers, adjustable hood, easy-access hand openings, kangaroo pocket and removable booties. The DWR water-resistant polyester shell keeps you warm and the bag features an ISO temperature rating of 55⁰F for comfort. Lightweight and packable, the Rainforest easily stuffs into its compression bag for transporting or storage. MSRP $129.
