August 6, 2024
JACKSON, Wyo. (August 6, 2024) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Stio, the mountain lifestyle brand headquartered in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is excited to announce the expansion of its business footprint with a new Mountain Studio® location, as well as the addition of two key roles to its leadership team.
The brand’s newest storefront will be located in the heart of downtown Steamboat Springs, Colorado in the Howelsen Place Building at 703 Lincoln Avenue. The Steamboat Stio Mountain Studio has an expected opening date in late September. This will be Stio’s 11th retail location and its second store in Colorado.
“Steamboat Springs has long been on our radar. With its rich and historic ski culture and hard-charging mountain athletes, it is the perfect place to bring the Stio brand to life,” said Stephen Sullivan, founder and CEO of Stio. “We are excited to have world-class skiing, mountain biking, trail running, kayaking and fly fishing just steps from our Mountain Studio’s front door, and look forward to hosting community events and partnering with local nonprofits to support and enrich this adventurous community.”
In addition to the Stio collection available at the brand’s new Mountain Studio location, customers can also find more of the brand’s exclusive styles and colorways at Steamboat Springs’ local go-to outdoor shop, Ski Haus, located at 1457 Pine Grove Road.
Alongside the new store opening, Stio recently hired two key positions to its leadership team.
- Joining as the Senior Director of Retail, Kris Nelson brings over 20 years of experience in B2B and DTC sales to the brand. Prior to joining the team at Stio, Nelson served as the Vice President of Retail at Cotopaxi and Director of U.S. Retail and International Sales at Newell Brands, leading the Marmot, Coleman and ExOfficio accounts. In his new role, Nelson will oversee the growth, performance and ongoing operations of Stio’s owned brick-and-mortar locations.
- Natalie Oshin has joined the Stio leadership team as the brand’s Merchandising Director. Oshin brings a wealth of knowledge in merchandising and product assortment planning from her past roles as Senior Buyer and Product Line Manager at FP Movement, as well as Global Product Line Manager at The North Face. In her new role, Oshin will be responsible for leading the brand’s merchandising strategy to drive revenue, profitability and product efficiency across all sales channels.
