Stio Debuts Technical All Terrain Footwear with the Launch of the Ridgecap Collection

Inspired by the rugged Teton terrain and born from countless miles of testing on the trail, the two new styles blend lightweight performance and trail specific design details, both with premium Vibram® Megagrip outsoles, to deliver versatility, stability, and comfort for every mountain pursuit.

The Ridgecap Low ($159) is comprised of durable and breathable nylon mesh with premium suede and nubuck overlays in a low collar height that performs on the trail and looks stylish around town. The engineered outsole combines uphill cruising capability with downhill braking power, while the cushioned EVA midsole ensures support for extended trail missions. The low-profile design is feature packed while remaining lightweight for ease of travel and wearable comfort compared to traditional hikers. For more demanding conditions, the Ridgecap Waterproof Mid ($189) has a higher profile with added padding to protect the ankle bone, and combines a waterproof membrane and DWR ripstop mesh to keep feet dry and debris-free through unpredictable mountain conditions. Both styles, available in men’s and women’s versions, offer fast, nimble performance with Vibram Megagrip rubber for superior traction on wet or dry surfaces, incorporate strategic grip zones for steep approaches, protective rock plates for uneven terrain, medial arch wrap for added support, and achilles heel padding that maintains comfort when the hike stretches across double-digit miles.
