Stio Welcomes Brad Ludden and Katie Steinberg to Ambassador Team
January 29, 2016
JACKSON, Wyo. (January 29, 2016) – Stio, the mountain apparel company based in the heart of the Tetons, announces new additions to its ambassador roster of esteemed athletes, adventurers, artists, environmentalists and mentors. Jackson Hole-based ultra-runner and mountaineer Katie Steinberg and First Descents founder Brad Ludden will represent Stio as brand ambassadors.
“As accomplished adventurers and community stewards, Katie and Brad embody the core values and beliefs of Stio, while keeping the outdoors an integral part of their lives,” says Stio VP of Sales and Marketing Noah Waterhouse. “We are honored to have them on board to represent Stio, put our product to the test and tell Stio’s mountain life story through their adventures.”
Steinberg spends winters seeking bold, new ski lines in Jackson Hole’s backcountry, and the rest of the year tackling endurance running and mountain bike races around the country. Steinberg’s recent accomplishments include trail-race victories at the Lake Tahoe 50K, Bighorn 50K, CrossCut Bozeman 25K and The North Face Challenge 50-miler in Park City, Utah. She unintentionally made Jackson her permanent home after college, citing the active outdoor community and the mountains as her reasons for staying. When she’s not bagging peaks and logging miles, Steinberg teaches eighth grade science in Jackson Hole.
Ludden founded First Descents in 2001 after experiencing the devastating effects of a loved one’s cancer diagnosis firsthand. Unfulfilled by his career as a boundary-pushing whitewater kayaker, Ludden started the organization to provide outdoor adventures to young adults whose lives have been impacted by cancer, starting with a one-week kayak adventure on the Colorado River. Since then, Ludden and First Descents have provided thousands of young adults battling cancer with unparalleled outdoor adventures around the world.
Stio also welcomes Ann Driggers of Carbondale, Colorado, Brittany Mumma of Jackson, Wyoming, Ryan Bonneau of Telluride, Colorado, and Eric Dyer of Salt Lake City, Utah to the team as brand ambassadors and social influencers. Follow each ambassador’s adventures on Instagram at their respective handles: @anndriggers, @brittmumma, @ryanbonneauphoto and @ericdyer.
