Stio’s Spring ’19 Collection is Built for Forging New Frontiers in the Epic and Everyday
April 2, 2019
JACKSON, Wyo. (April 2, 2019) – Designed and tested in the Tetons, mountain lifestyle brand Stio creates premium, versatile and sophisticated gear for the epic and the everyday. Featuring new and expanded styles and collections, Stio’s Spring ’19 line aims to inspire both backyard adventures and ambitious pursuits.
“We’re pleased to introduce our largest, most versatile spring line to date, with fresh colors, designs and technical performance for the many modes of mountain life,” said Noah Waterhouse, President and Chief Marketing Officer at Stio. “This season’s collection was inspired by the concept of the ‘Futurist Frontiersman,’ a modern-day explorer who finds adventure not only in the exotic and ambitious, but also in the everyday. Our customers are looking for new, creative and fulfilling ways to experience the outdoors throughout their lives, and this season’s line helps them do just that.”
The Spring ’19 line includes a range of technical performance pieces for alpine athletes that covers trail running, hiking, mountain biking, high alpine watersports as well as around-town flannels, fleece, performance denim and stretch canvas pants. Key styles from the line include:
- The PTV Collection, named for its peak-to-valley versatility, is where outdoor tech meets activewear. Designed to bring style and performance to the everyday, PTV is built for all modes of mountain athletes. Made with streamlined Relance™, a 100% polyester microfiber fabric technology with superior wicking ability, mechanical stretch and a soft hand, the PTV Collection offers a full range of movement and comfort on hikes, trail runs, climbing sessions and around-town. The PTV Collection includes the Women’s PTV Crew and Men’s PTV Short and an elevated, mountain inspired PTV Jogger for men and women.
- The Hagen Trail Shirt is a mountain bike-inspired, technical button-up, designed with Fulcra™, a lightweight polyester stretch fabric for temperature control and maximum comfort during summer rides. The Hagen has perforated shoulder stretch-panels and mesh-lined rear vents to ensure optimal air flow for singletrack sessions and the daily commute. Pair the Hagen Trail Shirt with the OPR Short, a technical mountain bike short available for men and women, for a streamlined mountain biking kit.
- With breathable, quick-drying styles designed to protect against high alpine rays on-water, on-trail and on-rock, the new Hylas Collection rounds out Stio’s river offerings for spring. Featuring the Hylas Hooded Pullover for men and women and the Hylas Crew for men and women, this collection is built with Helion™ stretch UPF 50+ fabric to shield against sun. The tops feature thumbholes to lock the layer in place when in action and flatlock seams offer low-profile comfort.
- Expanding upon Stio’s bestselling wind and water-resistant Eddy Shirt, Stio adds two new styles this spring, the Men’s Eddy Drift Shirt and the Women’s Eddy Shirt. The Eddy Drift features the same beloved Conflux ™ stretch fabric with UPF 50+ protection as the original Eddy, and adds fishing-specific features like flybox-compatible chest pockets, a zippered security chest pocket, rust-free TPU buttons and easy rolling sleeves. The Women’s Eddy features the same soft, stretchy UPF 50+ fabric as its counterpart in a slightly relaxed, feminine cut. Subtle, western-inspired detailing adds style to balance the technical performance of the Eddy.
