Switchback Spring Opens Call for Education in Search of Session Leaders and Panelists
December 11, 2024
Comprehensive educational programming will blend new ideas, best practices, and skill building for outdoor specialty retailers and brands
PORTLAND, Maine (Wednesday, December 11) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – With the goal of strengthening all levels of outdoor businesses, Switchback, the education and business gathering for the outdoor industry community, is accepting proposals for speaking opportunities at Switchback Spring, taking place June 16-18, 2025, in Nashville, TN.
“Education will be a significant part of the Switchback experience, with seminars and workshops scheduled throughout all three days of the event,” said Caitlin Ewing, Switchback Conference Manager. “Learning is critical to growth and innovation–at both the retail level and for the industry as a whole. We’re looking for the individuals who can provide our audience with relevant, actionable insights that will help them be more efficient, knowledgeable, and ultimately more successful.”
In collaboration with Outdoor Industry Association – Switchback’s official event partner – the educational program will be built around the outdoor industry’s current challenges, needs, and goals. Individuals with diverse voices and experiences who can share targeted, actionable insights with outdoor specialty professionals are encouraged to submit a session proposal.
Program focus areas will cover industry trends and consumer behaviors, innovative business and marketing strategies, succession planning and change management, community building, lifestyle and fashion, and more. While flexible, session formats will mostly include 45-minute individual and panel presentations as well as 45- and 90-minute workshops.
In addition to having a platform at the industry’s leading event, speakers will receive a complimentary registration pass, access to all onsite networking events, education sessions, and the exhibit hall, and opportunities to be included in promotional materials.
Switchback Spring will be hosted within a dedicated portion of the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN, a spacious venue with 12 restaurants and an attached premium hotel. With all attendees staying and meeting in a single location, the focused environment will enable both private meetings and organic run-ins with industry connections.
Individuals and organizations interested in presenting at Switchback Spring can submit a session proposal here. The Call for Education closes Sunday, January 12, 2025; speakers will be notified in the early spring.
