TAXA Introduces New Cricket Overland Edition

HOUSTON, TX (January  27, 2020) — TAXA Outdoors, the leading outdoor manufacturer of lightweight, mobile human habitats for outdoor adventure is expanding its collection of habitats with the introduction of the new 2020 Cricket Overland.

The new rugged Cricket Overland Edition was created to take humans even further off grid, but with the same comforts, efficiency and safety that TAXA is known for. Equipped with everything to make an off-road trip seamless, comfortable and easy for the whole family to come along, the Cricket Overland is the ideal overlanding companion.

Featuring a Timbren 3,500lb axle-less trailer suspension with 4” lift, progressive rubber springs and urethane bushings, the trailer offers a  quiet and smooth ride. The axle-less design allows higher ground clearance for off-roading, without the usual limitations associated with a thru-axle. The chassis is reinforced with structural steel and the installation includes electric brakes.

The articulating Lock ‘N’ Roll® trailer hitch is the safest, easiest to use, most versatile on-road,off-road hitch on the market. Utilizing 360 degrees of rotation and three axis of movement, this on-road, off-road hitch creates the freedom not found with a ball hitch.

Equipped with the Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT 225/75R16 all-terrain tires and a 60,000 mile warranty. These on-/off-road all-terrain tires are engineered to tackle dirt, gravel, mud and the urban jungle. The Discoverer AT3LT combines off-road prowess with agreeable on-road comfort and year round traction, including in light snow.

The new Cricket Overland also includes a 16” Alloy Spare wheel and all-terrain tire, extra heavy duty BAL levelling jacks, two hanging kids berths with a 130 pound max capacity each. TAXA’s soft good package which includes an awning, screen for entry door and shower tent as well as Thule® adjustable roof load bars.
