TAXA Outdoors Announces 2024 Mantis and Woolly Bear Models, Launches Rooftop Tents

Refined layouts, updated features and new rooftop tents comprise this year’s Evolutions

Additionally, the brand is launching all-new rooftop tents, the MoonMoth Clamshell and MoonMoth Foldout, designed for use with TAXA habitats and almost any vehicle. The new Evolutions were inspired by the brand’s minimalist and innovative design ethos – everything you need and nothing you don’t – and feature new layout configurations with increased off-grid power solutions, customized lighting, optimized storage and more.

According to 2023 sales information from SSI Data, TAXA Outdoors is the leading overland brand in unit sales with 24% of market share, which solidifies the brand’s position as the top choice for overland enthusiasts. This remarkable success also underscores consumer demand for innovative outdoor solutions, which TAXA is delivering with these new launches.

Two of TAXA’s best-selling adventure vehicles, Mantis and Woolly Bear, are getting the following updates for 2024:

• MANTIS: Mantis is TAXA’s largest adventure vehicle, a camper trailer with room for four (or more). Its layout includes a kitchen, bathroom, desks and a pop-up roof that merges indoor and outdoor living. 2024 Evolution updates to Mantis include a new tail layout with a third seating option and flexible backseats, optimized under-bed storage for easier access, redesigned storage towers, thicker 3.5-inch cushions for increased comfort, customizable Bluetooth-controlled RGB LEDs, quick disconnect awning brackets, a Victron Smart Voltmeter for convenient battery monitoring visually or via app, and an upgraded kitchen core design. The 2024 Mantis starts at $45,750.
• WOOLLY BEAR: The Woolly Bear is TAXA’s towable utilitarian basecamp, with a full-size outdoor kitchen, storage systems, pull-out cooler drawer and an elevated platform that accommodates most two-to-three-person tents. 2024 Evolution updates to the Woolly Bear include a redesigned kitchen storage system with an anti-scratch and rust-proof HDPE base, quick disconnect awning brackets, shore power connectivity, a convenient sliding tray for power station upgrades and Bluetooth-controlled interior RGB LEDs via the Casambi app. The 2024 Woolly Bear starts at $13,999.

Additionally, TAXA is launching its first rooftop tents in two models, including a clamshell and foldout design.

• MOONMOTH CLAMSHELL: The MoonMoth Clamshell is TAXA’s efficient, small-footprint, aluminum hard-shell rooftop tent. With sleeping space for two-to-three campers on a 2-inch foam mattress, it offers unrivaled ease and comfort with a one-minute or less setup time. Additional features include premium weather-resistant materials, ventilation windows and panoramic views. It’s compatible with the TAXA Woolly Bear series and almost any vehicle.
