The James Brand Announces New Hires, Relocates Headquarters and Distribution Warehouse to Meet Growing Demand

PORTLAND, OR (March 28, 2023) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – The James Brand – makers of modern, minimal, everyday carry products – announces today the expansion of its corporate leadership team with the appointment of Justin Baar to Global Digital Commerce Manager and Daniel Sledd to Senior Global Production and Inventory Manager. To accommodate the growing team, increase brand awareness, and support increasing sales demands, the brand also announces the relocation of its global sales & marketing headquarters to Oceanside, California in the coming weeks with a flagship store slated to open in the same location later this summer, while also consolidating its wholesale shipping operations now based in Boise, Idaho.
Baar joins The James Brand with his extensive knowledge of ecommerce and digital marketing in the knife and tool industries following his previous roles at Buck Knives, where he spent the last seven years building and growing the brand’s online presence. In his new position with The James Brand, Baar will enhance the brand’s digital presence and commerce operations across direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels.
Sledd brings a wealth of production experience from working with esteemed brands including Nixon, DC Shoes, and Brixton, where he’s held roles across product management, sourcing, and business development. His experience with like-minded lifestyle brands aligns seamlessly with The James Brand’s commitment to quality and innovation.
To further support brand growth, The James Brand will relocate its California-based office from Carlsbad to the heart of Oceanside over the next month. Oceanside will serve as the sales and marketing hub, as well as the future site of the first flagship retail store for The James Brand, slated to open later this summer. The new Oceanside location complements the brand’s creative studio based in Portland, Oregon focused on product design and brand creativity. Additionally, the James Brand has streamlined its wholesale shipping operations, now based in Boise, Idaho, alongside the customer service team to better service consumers and retailers.
