The Top 10 U.S. Metros for Digital Nomads

Zillow and Yelp analyzed data from each company to create a “Digital Nomad Index,” which ranks the top U.S. metros most favorable to the lifestyle. The ranking omitted the nation’s 30 largest metro areas, in order to surface smaller and/or more unexpected markets. Nearly 11 million American workers currently describe themselves as digital nomads, an increase of 49% from 2019, according to Independent talent provider MBO Partners’ 2020 State of Independence research study.
