TREW Gear Brings “TREW To You” Film Project to Grand Rapids, Michigan

GRAND RAPIDS, MI /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – TREW Gear, the outdoor apparel brand known for its durable, sustainable backcountry gear, is proud to announce the launch of the “TREW To You” film project. The film project features Michigan’s first-ever team in a North American-wide competition. Ten teams from across the continent compete for the audience’s vote to win $15,000.

TREW Gear will premiere the film in Michigan at the Wealthy Street Theatre in East Grand Rapids on Wednesday, October 23rd. Those interested are encouraged to reserve a ticket to guarantee a spot.

The Michigan team’s film captures the spirit of local snowboarding culture with scenes set in familiar locations, from backyard setups to local areas surrounding Grand Rapids. Highlighting the scrappiness and creativity it takes to film in Michigan’s unique winter environment and reminiscent of the snowboard and skateboard films of the 90s, the Michigan team brings a fresh perspective to the competition. Their film demonstrates the talent and determination of local riders and the rugged beauty of Michigan in winter—a testament to the dedication needed to capture the perfect shot.

The Michigan team’s film will compete against those of other teams across the continent, and the winner will be decided by public vote. The films will be available online, and Michigan snow enthusiasts are encouraged to support their local team.

There will be short films from 10 powerhouse teams of skiers and snowboarders, all competing for a Grand Prize of $15k! May your favorite film win! Come watch the films, get hyped for winter, and support the local Grand Rapids crew, Team Built Tough, by casting your vote for them in person at Wealthy Theater on Wednesday, October 23rd!

You will have the chance to win a ton of gear from TREW Gear, Hestra Gloves, Pit Viper, Fifty Fifty bottles, and more! All raffle proceeds from the film showing will go to the Chill Foundation. RSVP before the tickets sell out!
