Vibram’s Award-Winning Arctic Grip Adds New Adopters L.L. Bean and UGG for Fall 2017

Bean and UGG as notable Fall 2017 adopters of Vibram Arctic Grip, its state-of-the-art sole technology intent on changing winter footwear. Arctic Grip is the most advanced cold-weather gripping system Vibram has ever created.

Six Wolverine Worldwide brands served as exclusive Vibram Arctic Grip launch partners in 2016. For 2017, Wolverine brands will introduce several new styles from its Arctic Grip collection, highlighted by five new styles from Merrell including its specially designed Thermo Adventure winter boot as an REI Co-Op exclusive, spanning a range of shoes from lifestyle to technical, including:

• Merrell coldpack Ice+ moc 8” zip
• Merrell coldpack Ice+ mid
• Merrell Capra Glacial Ice+
• Merrell Thermo Adventure winter boot

• Sperry Powder Ice Cap

All Vibram Arctic Grip models feature designated lugs with sole technology that grips slick, wet ice, as well as thermochromatic lugs, which sense when the temperature drops to 32 F, adding a splash of color in cold conditions. One of Arctic Grip’s greatest attributes is its durability and ability to maintain performance despite miles of wear.

For its second season, seven new partners will incorporate Vibram Arctic Grip in over twenty different styles including three from L.L. Bean and over ten styles from UGG. In addition, other brands to use Vibram Arctic Grip this fall will include: Dakota, Denver Hayes, Muck Boots (The Original Muck Boot Company), Royer and Windriver.
