Annual nursing scholarship now open for applications

Missoula, Mont. (May 2, 2023)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – VIM & VIGR, maker of stylish and comfortable compression socks for all walks of life, is excited to announce the launch of their annual “Nurses Week” fundraiser running now through May 12, 2023. For every pair of socks purchased, VIM & VIGR will donate $5 to their annual nursing scholarship fund, which is now open for applications.

“It takes a lot of heart and a tenacious nature to be a nurse, but especially these days,” said Michelle Huie, founder of VIM & VIGR. “They put their patient’s needs before their own and we are honored to launch our annual sock fundraiser and scholarship program in an effort to help support two deserving up and coming nurses on their educational journeys.”

New for Nurses Week 2023, VIM & VIGR’s Free Heart graduated compression socks are designed to celebrate nurses’ generous hearts and are available in two compression levels, 15-20 mmHg and 20-30 mmHg. In partnership with their Nurses Week fundraiser, VIM & VIGR is happy to announce their nursing scholarship application window is now open. Applications can be submitted now through July 20 at 11:59PM MST. Two students will be awarded a scholarship of at least $3,500 each. Applicants must be in good academic standing with GPA of 3.0 or higher and qualifying degree programs include Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, and Licensed Practical Nurse. Interested applicants can apply online. The winners will be announced Aug. 15.
