Sun Valley, ID (July 21, 2022)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Wild Rye, premiere mountain lifestyle apparel brand made for and by women-identifying individuals, today announced their second SheJumps collaboration drop, featuring best-selling mountain bike short, the Freel Short. The limited-edition Wild Rye x SheJumps Freel Short is available now, designed for the mountain biker and adventure-seeker looking for a stylish yet durable short. It boasts a hand-drawn Great Blue Heron pattern, inspired by the Pacific Northwest where both SheJumps and Wild Rye founder Cassie Abel share deep roots.
SheJumps is a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase the participation of women and girls in outdoor sports by creating safe, educational experiences that nurture growth and transformation and Cassie Abel says; “SheJumps has been a longtime partner of Wild Rye, our missions aligning to bring women and women-identifying individuals together in an inclusive and empowering way. These limited edition bike shorts represent opportunity, community and self-determination for women in the outdoors, and the Great Blue Heron’s positivity and strength emulates just that.”
Built to inspire confidence in the outdoors and on the trails, the Freel Shorts are the pinnacle of women’s specific mountain bike shorts. Made with a durable nylon and spandex blend, three pockets, belt loops, and a 12” inseam, the Freel embodies the spirit of the Wild Rye x SheJumps collaboration ($129 MSRP).
Claire Smallwood, SheJumps Executive Director shares, “SheJumps is thrilled to be working with Wild Rye again on a product collaboration that reinforces our aligned commitment to make fun access points to the outdoors. We love that Blue Herons embody self-determination, grace, power, and intelligence. Despite their wild independence, they are integral to local ecosystems and environments, acutely in tune with nature and its surroundings—just like our special community members. The money raised from this product collaboration will enable SheJumps to continue offering accessible outdoor education for women and girls.”
Wild Rye will be donating $20 per pair of shorts sold (MSRP $129) to SheJumps initiatives, including outdoor education, community programs, women’s scholarships and more. Wild Rye and SheJumps are also teaming up for a women’s mountain bike event at Sun Valley Resort on August 3rd. River Run Summer Series is a casual opportunity to gather with friends and family for an evening outdoors, and the brands are collaborating to lead a women’s ride on Bald Mountain and raise funds for SheJumps, who will also be holding activities for kids at the River Run base, showcasing their commitment to fostering adventure and community in the younger generations.
