Wild Rye and Skida Launch Exclusive Collaborative Collection for Title Nine
October 18, 2022
Designed specifically for Title Nine, the collection is made for women, by women.
Ketchum, ID, Emeryville, CA, Burlington, VT, (Oct. 18, 2022) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Women-owned, led, and founded mountain and active lifestyle brands, Wild Rye and Skida, are proud to announce a new bike and snow apparel and accessories collaborative collection, designed exclusively for women-founded retailer, Title Nine. Founded in 1989, Title Nine is the first women-focused retailer to support women in sport, business and life and since its founding has played an active role in bringing more women-founded businesses into the retailer space.
Wild Rye, the brainchild of outdoor enthusiast and entrepreneur Cassie Abel, is a mountain apparel brand designed to empower women to thrive in the outdoors with beautifully crafted gear and apparel. Skida, a women-owned headwear and accessories company, was founded by Corinne Prevot, with the intent to bring color into the outdoors through an assortment of outdoor accessories that are vessels for self-expression.
The collection includes a combination of crossover products within the mountain bike and snow sport space, including a collaborative pattern named “Frosty Ranunculus”, a wild floral pattern with a frosty vibe that transcends the seasons all three brands play in. The Frosty Ranunculus (also known as Ranunculus Jade) collection will be available at TitleNine.com, with accessories also available at Skida.com and Wild-Rye.com.
“Title Nine is honored to support both brands in launching and offering these products to a wide demographic of women exclusively on our site,” said Alice Lee, VP of Brands and Partnerships at Title Nine. “Cassie was the second winner of our Pitchfest program in 2019, and we are proud to help share her products with the world. We look forward to more collaborations with Cassie and Corinne, as well as involving them in mentoring and empowering the next generations of female founders.”
“Skida and Wild Rye have combined forces for five prior collaborative collections, but this is the first time we have worked alongside a retailer, in this case, a retailer founded by one of my mentors and closest allies, to bring a collection to life,” said Abel.
Skida offers the print on an assortment of their most popular styles including the cult favorites– the Snow Tour and Brim Hat. Title Nine will carry these two products on their site and Skida and Wild Rye will both carry the full collection of Nordic, Alpine and L\\festyle products.
Wild Rye features the print on the Gone Wild (Kaweah) short (MSRP $99), designed with a durable 90% recycled polyester and 10% spandex blend that offers breathability, wicking and finished with a DWR treatment for weather-resistance. The Ranunculus Jade Gone Wild (Kaweah) short is available now, on Title Nine and Wild Rye.
To cap off the collection, the Wild Rye base layers in the collaboration print for winter adventures include Wild Rye’s new What The Bluff (Hailey) half-zip baselayer top ($129) and Wild Rye’s signature What The Bluff (Jane) ⅞ base layer leggings ($109), complete with iconic Ranunculus Jade print. The base layers are made from 100% ethically sourced merino wool and are designed for active pursuits on chilly days and evenings relaxing by the fire. The base layers will be available Oct. 18 only at Title Nine.
What Does Title Nine Mean to a Small Business:

About Title Nine
Title Nine was founded in 1989 as a women’s outdoor performance wear company whose goal is to outfit and inspire women to take risks, lead in their communities, and seek their own adventures. Today, the woman-owned company employs over 300 people and has 17 stores in 8 states, and online at titlenine.com. Selling a range of top brands curated for active women who are on-the-go, the brand has increasingly devoted much of its collections to its own brand creations ranging from swimwear to performance dresses. The company advocates forcefully for women’s issues, including creating Pitchfest Outdoor Edition, the yearly event that partners with small, women-owned brands to find a voice — and a sales platform and Pitchfest Nonprofit Edition, an annual gathering of women leaders in the nonprofit sector.
