Women-led Wild Rye debuts new product categories so women+ can go boldly forward on more adventures, in clothes that look as good as they feel
Sun Valley, ID (March 4, 2024) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Wild Rye, the premiere active lifestyle apparel brand designed for and by women+ adventurers, unveils its Spring 2024 collection offering new styles for more activities and more body types. This new line enters the gravel category with the Gem Distance Jersey, provides versatile protection for hiking, cycling, and spring skiing with the Alden Anorak windbreaker, and the B.O.B (baddie on board) chammy offers expecting moms a functional and technical solution for staying comfortable on the bike.
“Wild Rye understands that the interests and apparel needs of women+ change and evolve over time, and we constantly aspire to support them in all endeavors and life phases with beautiful and functional clothing,” said Cassie Abel, Wild Rye CEO and Founder. “With a few thoughtful category additions this season, our growing and versatile wardrobe brings the energy with bright colors and playful prints, which we hope will infuse positivity and fun into the world. And in perfect contrast, we’re stoked to also launch our first all-black shorts and pants, something the OG baddies have been asking for.”
The new Gem Distance gravel jersey is UPF 50 and made with deliberately placed mesh for extra breathability. Features include a full zippered front, three back pockets for snacks and water bottles, one zippered hip pocket, a reflective hit on the back, and silicone backing to hold the hem in place. Offered in sizes 0-18, MSRP: $149.
A versatile windbreaker designed for all spring and summer adventures, the Alden Anorak is lightweight, wind and water resistant, feathery soft, and packs into itself for easy stowaway. Offered in sizes S-XL, MSRP: $159.
Moms-to-be deserve cute and functional bike clothes, too, and Wild Rye’s B.O.B chammy features an extra-high, extra-stretchy waistband to grow along with the baddie on board. It is made with a premium Italian, bacteriostatic chammy pad, breathable and compressive fabric, and light silicone beading on the leg bands that won’t move or squeeze. Designed to accommodate women 5-8 months pregnant, offered in sizes 4-14, MSRP: $125.
New in the mountain bike category is the Rita short, a 6-inch inseam version of the award-winning Riley. The Rita short sports the same lightweight fabric and no frills design as the Riley, but with a shorter inseam for those who like to show a little more leg. Offered in sizes 0-14, MSRP: $105.
The spring ‘24 collection is rounded out with fresh new prints and hand-drawn patterns for the best-selling Freel and Freda mountain bike shorts, Freyah Bike Pant, Alyssa and Eleanor chammies, mountain bike tops, lightweight merino baselayers, and Elorie and Eeva overalls.
The full spring collection is now available for purchase on the Wild Rye website.
Wild Rye’s spring collection can also be found at select retail locations as well as nationwide retailers like REI, Title Nine, Evo and at wild-rye.com.
