2023 America Outdoors Conference Organizers Announce Film Festival & Opportunity to Renew Wilderness First Responder Certification Onsite

September 27, 2023 – Knoxville, TN /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – America Outdoors, the nation’s one-stop resource for outdoor recreation providers and the industry leaders in public policy, is pleased to announce its first ever mini film festival on Wednesday, December 6 during the America Outdoors Conference. This event, brought to you with sponsor Northwest River Supplies (NRS), will offer attendees 4-5 short films that celebrate the outdoor recreation industry, including two films produced by NRS.

“The conference is designed to educate and connect outfitters,” noted Hilary Wickes, America Outdoors Marketing and Event Manager. “But we wanted to find the right opportunity to remind our members that what they do is meaningful. We want them to leave inspired to continue their important work and to keep innovating. Our conference theme is ‘The Power of Belonging.’ We hope the film’s screening will cultivate belonging in the industry for all who attend and we want to thank NRS for being partners in bringing this opportunity to attendees.”

In addition to the new film fest, the association announced a new opportunity for those looking to renew their Wilderness First Responder certification. There will be a hybrid online course offered with two days of classroom instruction at the conference thanks to Desert Mountain Medicine. For those up-to-date on their WFR, America Outdoors will offer additional pre-conference opportunities, including mountain biking and kayaking excursions with REI Adventures and Cliff Creek Outfitters.
