ToughCutie and Women Who Explore Create Free, Binational Hiking Series

September 12, 2024

The partnership aims to invite more women onto the trails through accessible, community-driven events

Austin, Texas (Sept. 12, 2024)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Active-lifestyle sock brand ToughCutie has partnered with one of the largest women’s travel and adventure companies, Women Who Explore (WWE), to bring free outdoor experiences to women in the United States and Canada. The collaboration is designed to encourage participation across all skill levels of outdoor adventures and bring together a community of diverse women.

“We are thrilled to partner with Women Who Explore to bring accessible hiking adventures to women across the country,” said Brittany Coleman, Founder and CEO of ToughCutie. “This collaboration aligns perfectly with our mission to empower women in the outdoors by providing them with the highest quality gear and fostering a supportive community. We believe that these events will inspire more women to embrace nature, challenge themselves, and form lasting connections. We’re excited to support Women Who Explore in our shared mission to make the outdoors more accessible and inclusive for all,” said Coleman.

ToughCutie and WWE’s joint programming is highlighted by its Socks and Summits Series. A dozen hand-selected WWE ambassadors will host three hiking events in their respective cities at no cost to participants. Each woman who joins any of the 36 outings across the country will receive an exclusive color of ToughCutie’s Merino Wool performance products only distributed to brand partners in the nonprofit and advocacy space.

Additionally, the two woman-owned companies will host a giveaway where ToughCutie will sponsor one woman to experience a WWE trip in 2025. WWE adventures range in difficulty and duration and include global experiences like trekking in Iceland, scuba diving in Honduras, private yacht adventures in Croatia, and summiting Mont Blanc in the Alps.

“Women Who Explore is thrilled to partner with another women-owned business in the outdoor industry,” says co-owner Melissa Wright. “We believe that when women are empowered in the outdoors, they carry that empowerment into their daily lives. Brittany embodies this spirit perfectly, and we’re excited to showcase her socks on our adventures.”
