Flylow celebrates launch of ‘Leftover Land’ resale site with Bib Buyback Program and VIP Gear Locker
September 17, 2024
DENVER, COLORADO/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – For nearly two decades, Flylow (www.flylowgear.com) – the creators of independent, homegrown and mountain-raised outerwear and apparel – has thrived by choosing their own path.
This month, the brand is breaking trail once again with the launch of Flylow Leftover Land, an innovative consignment resale platform that makes it easy, simple and fast to trade in some well-loved Flylow gear toward a credit on a new kit.
To celebrate the new resale service, Flylow is hosting a pair of first-of-a-kind initiatives, including the 2024 Bib Buyback Program and the Flylow VIP Gear Locker.
“As an independent company, Flylow has the flexibility to continually look at ways where we can improve our efforts in sustainability while still making gear that can perform in the most demanding conditions. The creation of Leftover Land is a natural evolution for us, as it helps keep the most durable and long-lasting gear in use as long as possible, while also helping people get a leg up on a new kit when they need one,” said Flylow cofounder Dan Abrams.
“It’s a huge deal to have Flylow embrace recovery and resale in a meaningful way, as they are an influential and widely respected brand in the outdoor world,” said Aaron Provine, president of Geartrade, which is providing the technical and logistical support for Flylow Leftover Land. “It’s also important to applaud their Bib Buyback Program, which is a truly groundbreaking concept in the outdoor industry because of its brand agnostic approach to welcoming all incoming gear.”
In Flylow’s 2024 Bib Buyback Program, skiers and riders are encouraged with free shipping and a two-minute-or-less online registration to send in any pair of lightly used bibs from Flylow – or any manufacturer – and receive a credit toward a new pair of Flylow bibs.
In the Flylow VIP Gear Locker, used kits straight from the closets of ski superheroes Daron Rahlves and Flylow founder Dan Abrams will be sold to the first lucky fans when Flylow Leftover Land goes live on Oct. 1, 2024.
All proceeds from both the 2024 Bib Buyback Program and the Flylow VIP Gear Locker will be donated to Protect Our Winters (POW).
