Patagonia Eliminates 41 Jobs in Sweeping Restructure

Outdoor retailer Patagonia laid off 41 employees, or 1% of its workforce, yesterday at its Ventura, California headquarters as part of a broad review of its corporate operations.

The changes will also ensure a more connected and consistent customer experience, remove some of the barriers that make it difficult to get their work done, and support a more vibrant culture. Patagonia evaluated roles, not people, and made every effort to minimize the impact on colleagues. New roles were created, some were eliminated and most roles in Ventura are evolving. The Daily
