Abom to Demo Military Goggles at Camp Rilea Strike Challenge
August 9, 2017
PORTLAND, Ore. (Aug. 9, 2017) – Abom, Inc., manufacturer of the world’s first anti-fogging heated goggles, will present an interactive demonstration on Aug. 15-17, 2017 at the Fourth Biennial Strike Challenge at Camp Rilea Armed Forces Training Facility in Warrenton, Oregon.
Abom will demonstrate the capabilities of its military combat protective eyewear, which is specially designed for emergency response, survival, security, search and rescue and special operations. The demonstration will provide a unique opportunity for U.S. response and recovery teams and individuals to experience the superior performance of Cold Weather Mobility (CWM) heated anti-fog goggle in staged environments and situations that simulate the critical conditions that response and recovery teams often encounter.
“We’re honored to participate in such a highly regarded and productive demonstration of military and tactical equipment,” said Jack Cornelius, Abom CEO. “We look forward to using this demonstration as an opportunity to showcase the best anti-fog protective eyewear solutions available in military and tactical operations and to expand our reach as we develop additional products to serve those markets.”
Since the introduction of Abom’s heated, no-fog technology, multiple departments of the military have expressed interest in adapting the wearable technology to meet the needs of operators. Abom’s technology makes it impossible for fog to survive or form on the inner surface of protective eyewear. While Abom’s military products are new, the products have been field and human tested in extreme cold weather environments by the U.S. Army, which filed an after-action report of “awesome.” Abom military products pass all requirements for the MIL-PRF-32432(G) Draft (soon to be released) Military Combat Protective Eyewear (MCEP). Once certified for MCEP, Abom’s goggles are expected to pass all requirements for the 2018 Authorized Protective Eyewear List.
All individuals and teams who work in the emergency and safety fields are highly encouraged to attend the 2017 Strike Challenge event. Alongside the Abom Military Combat Protective Eyewear, there will be more than 15 other demonstrations of a variety of response and recovery equipment, as well as opportunities to meet with exhibitors and other attendees.
