New state-of-the-art facility will double capacity for participants
CRESTED BUTTE, Colo., June 27, 2019 – Adaptive Sports Center is proud to announce the official opening of the new Kelsey Wright Building. The new four-story, 25,000-square-foot facility is located at the base of Mt. Crested Butte Resort and doubles the capacity for participants.
“The new building assures we’ll be able to continue our standard of excellence for adaptive recreation, and welcome all who want to experience the adventure of the Rockies,” said Chris Hensley, Executive Director. “As much as we love seeing our participants getting after it with their peers and family members as they experience an activity they never thought possible, we’re even more passionate about the lasting therapeutic benefit of our programs when they return home.”
- Key elements of the facility include:
- Participant assessment space
- Equipment modification and fit-up area
- Ski-in ski-out
- Indoor climbing wall
- Participant lodge with their own living, dining and kitchen areas
- Administrative workstations and offices
