Vibram’s Sole Factor Mobile Lab brings the latest in sole innovation to Outdoor Retailer in November
North Brookfield, Mass. (November 1, 2018) – Vibram, the worldwide leader in high-performance soles and the creator of the Vibram FiveFingers articulated toe shoe, announces today that the Vibram Sole Factor Mobile Lab will be resoling shoes on the tradeshow floor during the Outdoor Retailer show in Denver, November 8th-11th.
“We are excited to bring Vibram’s Sole Factor and team of cobblers inside the Denver Convention Center for the first time,” says Allon Cohne, Chief Marketing Officer at Vibram Corporation. “Anyone at the show can customize their shoes and experience Vibram’s latest innovations in rubber compound and sole technology, sometimes before a sole is available anywhere else.”
Vibram’s new technology, Litebase, debuts with several partner brands in Spring 2019, and will be available as a resole option during the November show. Litebase is designed for ultralight performance and serves to cut the sole weight by up to 30% while maintaining exceptional grip and durability.
The technology will be offered in conjunction with Vibram Megagrip at the show. Brands like Scarpa, Vasque and Dynafit have adopted Vibram Litebase technology with Megagrip for hiking, trail running, and vertical running. Altra will also debut a trail running shoe featuring Vibram Litebase with Megagrip at the November show.
The Sole Factor Tour continues to raise money for the Conservation Alliance at Outdoor Retailer, with a suggested donation of $25 per pair.
When thinking about shoes to bring, rubber-soled shoes are ideal for a Vibram resole so long as the upper is in decent condition. Vibram’s Master Cobbler Gino Conti explains: “If the tread is totally worn down, or it’s never been quite as grippy on wet surfaces as you’d like, we can upgrade those shoes to perform like new—or better.”
