eVent Fabrics Names Yang as New Product Manager

Role escalates eVent’s leadership position in moving industry away from PFAS toward a more sustainable future

LEAWOOD, Kan. (January 16, 2023) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – eVent Fabrics, makers of high performing waterproof breathable textiles since 1999, has named Evelyn Yang as the company’s product manager. Evelyn will focus on enhancing eVent’s product strategy, new product introductions, product life cycle, pricing and customer support.

eVent has taken a significant role in advancing the performance textile market’s transition away from materials that require PFAS chemicals to more sustainable solutions with its current BIO plant-based fabrics currently used in apparel, footwear and accessories through popular brands such as Xero Shoes and BlackOvis, and alpineST top-of-the-mountain waterproof breathable fabrics available in 2024. Yang will be responsible for driving further innovation to maximize performance and sustainability of all of eVent’s products.

Previously Evelyn worked in product roles with Salomon (Amer Sports), H&M, Decathlon and others. She is based in eVent’s new Shanghai, China, regional headquarters and reports to company president Chad Kelly in Kansas City.
