Drawing inspiration from its long-trusted marine boot, Gill Fishing’s new footwear delivers performance, durability, and comfort to meet needs of North American anglers
BUFORD, Ga. (Jan. 12, 2023)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Gill Fishing, maker of premium foul weather and technical apparel for anglers, announces an all-new collection of high-performance fishing deck boots. The new footwear delivers everything for anglers to thrive during demanding days on the water: sticky grip, reliable waterproof protection, rugged durability, and comfortable cushioning. The two new styles of boots are available now at www.gillfishing.com and Gill Fishing’s retail partners.
“We started Gill Fishing because we knew there was strong demand in the fishing industry for the same premium gear that have been trusted by our sailing customers for nearly 50 years. After providing our fishing customers with innovative foul weather and technical apparel, the next logical step was to create performance deck boots,” says Dominic McCarthy, Gill North America’s Executive Vice President. “Gill’s yachting boot, which have protected sailors from the freezing Southern Ocean to the hot and muggy Florida Keys, is one of our longest running products, and we think that’s the ultimate testament to quality. They were the inspiration for our fishing boots, which we built with our proven construction methods and materials best suited for the diverse weather conditions faced by North American anglers.”
The Hydro Short Boot ($94.95) is a comfortable and nimble ankle boot built for all weather conditions. Gill’s 100% natural rubber compound creates an optimal blend of flexibility, durability and grip. Anglers can move confidently on wet decks thanks to the boot’s non-slip, razor-cut soles that generate maximum traction and low-profile outsoles that provide maximal contact area. A thermal-regulating neoprene lining wicks moistures, cools feet in hot conditions, and softens impacts. The removable cushioned inner soles deliver all-day comfort.
The Hydro Mid Boot ($115) was designed for anglers who need a higher boot, whether they’re wading in high water at the boat ramp or fishing in cold weather. Gill combined the identical lower of the short boot with a neoprene upper that delivers complete waterproof protection while also wicking moisture and regulating temperature in all conditions. The flexible neoprene upper can be easily rolled down, if preferred.
Both styles of boots are available in glacier and shadow camo.
