Haibike Partners with Coastal Racing GNCC Race Team
June 28, 2016
SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (June 28, 2016) – Haibike, the pioneering German electric bike brand has teamed up with The Coastal Racing team. ATV, UTV and dirt bike team riders will be using Haibike high performance e-bikes at Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) series events.
GNCC Racing is America’s premier off-road racing series featuring ATV, UTV and motorcycle events. GNCC race teams are only permitted to preview a course on foot or on a mountain bike. Now, the Coastal Racing team will have full-suspension, pedal-assisted electric mountain bikes to preview racecourses.
“Haibike e-bikes are perfect for GNCC course preparation,” said Ken Miner, director of sales for Haibike USA. “By taking advantage of our ePerformance bikes, Coastal Racing riders can potentially cover more of the course prior to the race. This means more terrain intel, which gives the team a competitive advantage.”
“Our riders are excited to use Haibike ePerformance bikes,” said Barry Hawk, Coastal Racing’s team manager and eight-time GNCC champion “These bikes are super fun to ride and offer team members a course simulation that parallels the race experience.”
The Coastal Team will be using a Haibike XDURO AllMtn, that features a Bosch electric motor and 150 mm of front and rear suspension as well as two Haibike XDURO NDUROs that have 180 mm of front and rear suspension.
Coastal Racing debuted their Haibike ePerformance bikes Saturday, June 25, at the GNCC race in Snowshoe, W. Va.
