Liv to Host Women’s Only Trail Session at Crankworx Whistler

Exclusive access to the iconic A-Line trail, Liv demo bikes and a chance to win a Liv mountain bike

WHISTLER, Canada (Aug. 10, 2018) – Liv Cycling, the company dedicated to getting more women on bikes, along with Crankworx Whistler, are proud to host the Liv Women’s Only A-Line Session on Sunday, August 12. That same morning, Liv Canada will also offer demo of the Liv Hail Advanced, the first truly women’s-specific 160mm enduro bike.

The Women’s Only A-Line Session was designed to bring women together for a freeride shred session on A-Line, a 1,200 vertical-foot flowy jump trail featuring masterfully sculpted berm turns, jumps and tables that is recognized as one of the most iconic flow trails in the world. Participants will have access to bike park coaches for tips, tricks and guidance on how to approach more challenging sections of the trail, and will ride alongside Liv ambassadors Katie Holden, Lindsey Richter and Leigh Donovan, as well as Liv Cycling staff.

In a no pressure environment, women and girls will have the opportunity to take their skills to the next level, or just have fun with friends with the added comfort of A-Line being closed to the public. SRAM has also partnered to offer technical assistance to participants at the entrance to A-Line.

Following the event, participants are invited to the GLC for après and giveaways. All participants will be included in a drawing with an opportunity to win a Liv mountain bike.

Event schedule Sunday, August 12

Whistler Mountain Bike Park

• 8:00-10:00 am – Waiver signing and wrist band pick up for pre-registered attendees
• 9:00-12 pm – Early upload: Liv A-Line Women’s Only Event begins 
• 9:30-12 pm – RockShox suspension set-up and Hydration at the entrance to A-Line 
• 12:00-2:00 pm – Liv A-Line Après and bike giveaway at GLC

This is Crankworx Whistler and Liv’s sixth A-Line event. The Liv A-Line women’s ride at Whistler began in 2014 with 45 attendees and has quickly grown to 150 women from all over the globe including Spain, U.K., Australia and the U.S. Participants range in age from 15-50 years old and must have an intermediate or better mountain bike skill level. 

Online registration is now closed; 150 spots filled in less than 12 hours. Participants are asked to sign the waiver day of or the day before the event at the Liv Expo Booth, Mountain Square between 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. 

Some mountain bike experience is required and a full-face helmet is necessary. Participants are asked to bring their own bike (dual suspension recommended).
