Mountain Equipment Offers a Wide Variety of Fabric and Insulation Options for Winter 2017 Outerwear Collection

Mountain Equipment, designer and manufacturer of outdoor apparel and accessories, is introducing it’s winter 2017 collection that includes a variety of waterproof, wind resistant and durable yet comfortable fabric options for core mountaineers and serious outdoor enthusiasts. The new collection will be available starting August 2017.

INSULATED COLLECTION
Fraction Jacket (men’s & women’s) – Combining fast wicking Pontetorto® stretch fleece with a ceramic coating for durability in the side and underarm panels, with a 700 fill power water-resistant down in the main body, and a proprietary Helium 20TM outer shell results in a super lightweight jacket that can be used throughout the year. Other features include a 2-way front zipper, 2 zippered hand pockets, elasticised cuffs, dual tether adjustable drawcords and packs into a hand pocket. Skyline Hooded Jacket (men’s jacket & women’s parka) – A lightweight down jacket that is ideal for freezing conditions. Constructed with 180g of 700+ fill ethical down as well as a windproof and highly water resistant DRILITE® Loft outer shell for utmost protection in unpredictable conditions. Features an adjustable hood that accommodates any helmet, 2-way front zipper, 2 zippered hand pockets, elastic cuffs, dual tether adjustable drawcords and packs into inner mesh pocket. Expedition Jacket (men’s) – Mountain Equipment’s warmest jacket in it’s entire collection and designed in consultation with some of the world’s leading expedition companies. Expedition Jacket uses full box wall construction for it’s 440g of 800+ fill power ethical down. The outer and inner shell is made with windproof and water resistant DRILITE Loft 30D. The full dome hood accommodates any helmet and maintains clear visibility. Other features include 2-way center zipper with twin offset insulated rear baffles, 2 zippered hand pockets, 2 chest pockets, adjustable cuffs, dual tether adjustable drawcords and mesh inner pockets. Superflux Jacket (men’s) – Polarloft Featherless insulation not only works wet or dry as a result of it’s “blown construction,” but it is also highly breathable. Using 243g of Polarloft® Featherless insulation by 3M, this jacket is ideally suited for those who like the feel of down, but the benefits of synthetic insulation. The outer shell is made with Mountain Equipment’s highly protective DRILITE Loft 20D fabric for even more weather protection. The seamless shoulder design further reduces the chance of moisture seepage. Other features include 2-way front zipper, 2 zippered hand pockets, elasticised cuffs, dual tether adjustable drawcords and packs into hand pocket. Fuse Jacket (women’s) – Contains Polarloft Featherless insulation that feels like down, but is a synthetic blown insulation by 3M that works wet or dry. The outer shell is made with Mountain Equipment’s 20D RS Nylon fabric with mechanical stretch seams for breathability and a perfect fit. Other features include 2-way front zipper, 2 zippered hand pockets, internal pocket, elasticised cuffs, dual tether adjustable drawcords and packs into hand pocket. WATERPROOF/HARDSHELL COLLECTION
Havoc Jacket (men’s & women’s) – GORE-TEX® 40D fabric with GORE C-KNIT® backer technology makes this jacket fully waterproof and windproof with a lighter and softer feel. The Havoc Jacket features pre-shaped sleeves for a natural alpine fit, underarm pit zips, super alpine hood to accommodate a ski helmet, a ski pass pocket on the sleeve, as well as 2 front zippered pockets. Snow skirt is removable and the hem and sleeves are laminated to prevent moisture seepage. The visor is also laminated and includes a wire for optimal visibility, even when cinched down. Havoc Pant (men’s & women’s) – GORE-TEX 40D fabric with GORE C-KNIT backer technology makes this pant fully waterproof, windproof and pliable. The Havoc Pant features a full EXOLITE 125 stretch bib with 2 zippered pockets, articulated knees, adjustable suspenders with a drop seat, zip out internal snow gaiters, and reinforced kick strips and hem for durability. Full length side zippers with velcro at the top make for easy on/off as well as enhanced ventilation when needed. Colors: Marine, Cardinal, Jasper and Cosmos. MSRP: $475
Quarrel Jacket (men’s & women’s) – GORE-TEX 40D fabric with GORE C-KNIT backer technology makes this jacket fully waterproof and windproof with a lighter and softer feel for all day comfort. The Quarrel features pre-shaped sleeves, underarm pit zips, mountain hood to accommodate a ski helmet, 2 front zippered pockets and an internal pocket. The hem and sleeves are laminated to prevent moisture seepage. The visor has wire and is laminated for optimal visibility, even when cinched down. SOFTSHELL COLLECTION
Tour Pant (men’s & women’s) – Combines breathability and stretch for an ideal softshell ski pant on alpine ski tours. Designed with EXOLITE 210 stretch double weave softshell fabric and features 2 zipped hand pockets, 2 vents, an integrated belt and a microfleece lined waistband for comfort. The Alpine Fit means that it has articulated knees and does not have any excess bulk throughout the leg. Instead of an internal gaiter, the pant features offset ankle zips with an internal gusset panel to accommodate all ski boots and easy access to buckles. The reinforced kick-strips provide added durability, even when wearing crampons. Colors: Pewter, Marine and Black. MSRP: $170
GLOVES
Citadel Mitt – A 2-part synthetically insulated mitt system suitable for expedition use and winter alpine climbing. The inner mitt uses a lobster finger design for increased dexterity and has a soft fiber pile liner for moisture wicking. The outer mitt is made with water resistant, windproof, breathable DRILITE® Loft 20D with Primaloft® GOLD insulation over the back of the hand and Primaloft GRIP insulation over the palm. A water-resistant Pittards® Goatskin overlay is added in high abrasion areas. Weight: 280g / 9.9oz. MSRP: $140
Super Couloir Glove – A tough and dexterous cold weather mountaineering and climbing glove featuring Mountain Equipment’s exclusive EXOLITE 210 stretch double weave soft shell outer, and a waterproof, windproof and breathable GORE-TEX® insert. The Pittards® Goatskin leather palm reinforces high abrasion areas. Pre-curved and articulated fingers ensure secure handling of krabs and screws as well as a firm grip on tools. Additional comfort features include: micro fleece liner on the palm, an adjustable cuff closure, removable wrist tethers, reversed suede nose wipe, and karabiner carry loops. Weight: 190g / 6.7oz. Randonee Glove – With a stretch woven softshell back, Pittards Goatskin palm, pre-curved articulated fingers and thumb, this glove is a fast staff favorite at Mountain Equipment. The full fiber pile lining helps wick moisture, keep the fingers warm and offers a cozy feel. The soft nose wipe is made of durable suede so it won’t wear out before the glove does.
