July 27, 2021
Built for gravity-focused mountain bikers, Raptor Pro integrates a D3O® CE Level 1 full back protector to help absorb impact in case of a fall.
Cortez, CO – July 27, 2021 – Osprey, a leader in creating top-quality, high-performance innovative carry solutions, today announced the expansion of its premium mountain biking packs with the introduction of Raptor Pro (MSRP $200) for Spring 2022. Built for gravity-focused mountain bikers, Raptor Pro integrates a D3O® CE Level 1 full back protector to help absorb impact in case of a fall. Deluxe organizational features include a tool organizer and padding, plus full-face helmet carry.
“Whether you’re self-shuttling classic town trails, taking a lift up to ride fast and flowy runs or ripping down backcountry singletrack, the Raptor Pro has the durability, organization and stability for any and every rowdy day out,” said Rosie Mansfield, Osprey product line manager.
The D3O BP4 L1 back protector exceeds CE Level 1 certification and utilizes patented, patent-pending, and proprietary technologies to engineer materials that are rate-sensitive, soft, and flexible as well as highly shock absorbent. This lightweight, exceptionally soft and flexible design means the back protector provides riding comfort without sacrificing durability and protection while the highly ventilated geometry delivers maximum breathability.
In addition to offering protection, Raptor Pro is built for maximum stability. Osprey’s signature AirScape® backpanel features mesh-covered, extra deep ridged foam to allow for superior ventilation while keeping loads close to the body. The harness is built with curved, bike-specific winged shoulder straps which work with the airmesh wrap hipbelt to deliver stability and breathability.
