April 6, 2023
Proceeds of Limited-Edition Peak 98 Model Ski Will Benefit Venerated Non-Profit Serving Active-Duty Special Operation Forces
BOZEMAN, Montana (April 6, 2023) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Peak Ski Company has revealed a limited-edition ski developed in partnership with a fellow Bozeman-based organization, Big Sky Bravery. Proceeds from the sales of the skis will directly support Big Sky Bravery’s programs that have served over 400 recipients. Based in Bozeman, Montana, Big Sky Bravery is a venerated non-profit that serves active-duty warfighters from the most elite divisions and units of the United States Government’s Special Operations Forces and Units. The organization’s weeklong programs in Montana’s restorative backcountry help recipients reconnect with themselves through structured activities including skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, fishing, mentorship and more.
“While the war on terror no longer makes it way to Americans’ news feeds, make no mistake, it remains a very active and kinetic environment. The active-duty warfighters Big Sky Bravery serves and supports remain fully engaged in that battle,” said Andy Wirth cofounder and CEO of Peak Ski Company. “This unique organization serves active-duty special operation forces, all of whom are the quintessential quiet professionals and are the hardened steel that’s very much the ‘tip of the spear’. We couldn’t be prouder to work with and support this remarkable organization.”
Peak Ski Company, launched by cofounders Bode Miller and Andy Wirth, developed the Big Sky Bravery ski with a custom winter camouflage top sheet featuring the renowned Big Sky Bravery logo, the U.S. flag and minimal Peak Ski Company marks and logos. One hundred twenty-five pairs of the limited-edition Big Sky Bravery skis are based on Peak’s now legendary, “quiver killer” 98 model ski from its upcoming 23/24 models. Priced at $1,450 per pair, proceeds will benefit Big
Sky Bravery, a registered non-profit organization and are tax deductible.
“We are thrilled to partner with Peak to help raise awareness about Big Sky Bravery and our work,” said Josh McCain, founder of Big Sky Bravery. “Big Sky Bravery’s motto is ‘Give More Than You Take’ and I want to thank Andy and the entire Peak Ski team for following that creed and most importantly, acting on it by developing this program. By buying these skis you’re not only riding the best skis around and support a Montana based company, but you’re also making this country and the special operations community a priority.”
“Peak Ski Company hopes to generate over $150,000 for Big Sky Bravery with these limited-edition skis. This is a strong source of pride for all on our team, as we’re all patriots here at Peak and are aware that we can never do enough for those who serve,” continued Wirth.
