Rock Spot Expands Its Northeast Footprint in Recent Acquisition

Rock Spot Climbing, a longstanding Northeast climbing gym chain, recently announced its acquisition of Prime Climb in nearby Wallingford, Connecticut. Previously managing five gyms between Rhode Island and Massachusetts―the first of which, Rock Spot Lincoln, has been operating since 1998 (formerly as RI Rock Gym of Pawtucket)―the Rock Spot gym family now includes six climbing facilities spanning three states. Rock Spot will soon begin construction on a seventh facility as well―a new bouldering-focused gym located in Malden, MA which was announced shortly after the acquisition. CBJ
