Rumpl Partners With First Descents for Giving Tuesday Donation

The expressive outdoor brand will support the adventure-based, healing non-profit with a buy one, donate one program

PORTLAND, Ore. (Nov. 28, 2023) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Rumpl, the category leader in premium outdoor blankets, is proudly supporting First Descents this Giving Tuesday with a buy one, donate one program. First Descents is a national non-profit that provides life-changing outdoor adventures to young adults affected by cancer and other serious health issues. Through the initiative, Rumpl will donate an Original Puffy Blanket to First Descents for each Original Puffy Blanket sold on the Rumpl website, Nov. 28-30, 2023.

Rumpl also partnered with First Descents in 2022 for Giving Tuesday, and donated more than $100,000 in product to help support the non-profit’s outdoor adventures, as well as customized Original Puffy Blankets for recipients. Last year, Rumpl’s marketing support helped educate their consumers about First Descent’s mission. This year, Rumpl will expand their marketing efforts to spread additional awareness and help First Descents reach their goal of raising $6M in 2023.

First Descents has served more than 10,000 young adults with psychosocial supportive care since its founding in 2001. With free, adaptive programs across the U.S., participants are empowered to go beyond their diagnosis with adventure-based activities, including whitewater rafting, kayaking, surfing and climbing. Additional programming that supports frontline healthcare workers was introduced in 2020 to address the community needs of the COVID-19 pandemic and is now a permanent offering, allowing for more individuals to experience the healing power of nature.
