The country’s only Trail Running and Beer Drinking race lives on at the La Sportiva Trail Run Relay in Lyons CO on 6/2/18

Boulder, CO – La Sportiva North America will continue title sponsorship of the Trail Run Relay, featuring the Beer Relay – a fun focused event for teams that blends trail running with craft beer.

Designed by Adventure Fit, a Boulder-based event marketing company, to mesh craft beer culture with the adventurous outdoor lifestyle, The Trail Run Relay will occur at Bohn Park in Lyons, Colorado on June 2^nd. Teams of two or four will run a 3 mile trail course, relay-style, for four hours. Runners in the Beer Relay categories must drink a 12-ounce Oskar Blues beer before their lap. There are also categories for those who would rather not fuel their run with beer. The team that completes the most laps in the shortest time wins.

In between laps, runners can relax in the La Sportiva hangout zone, complete with hammocks, cold drinks, and snacks. The latest trail running shoes will also be available to demo on laps and contests will run continuously through the day at the La Sportiva booth.

The event offers options for those that want to extend their adventure after the race. Immediately following the Trail Run Relay is the Burning Can Fest at the Lyons Outdoor Games, which features a 60+ brewery beer festival, adventure sport competitions including BMX dirt jumping, kayaking, and Dock Dogs. The festival continues into the evening with 3 live bands headlined by Sun Volt. To cap the night, tent and RV camping is available at the base of the Rocky Mountains. The concert is included in the entry fee, but the beer fest and camping are optional add-ons.
