A Commitment to Experimentation and Small-Scale Taste

BOULDER, Colo. (September 7, 2016) — Upslope Brewing Company,  a nationally-decorated Boulder-based craft brewery, is announcing the availability of the ninth cellar keepsake from the Lee Hill Series, the Volume 9 Barrel Aged Dopplebock. The beer will be available tomorrow on tap and in cans at Upslope’s Lee Hill tap room in North Boulder.

Amid a growth in demand and investments in production facilities, Upslope’s Lee Hill Series is the brewery’s commitment to a mindset for experimenting and crafting small batches of delicious, decadent beer. Served in 19.2 ounce cans and named after Upslope’s original North Boulder brewery, the Lee Hill Series is a tribute to craft beer-loving fans. This quarterly, limited release series celebrates experimentation and creativity.

“Upslope’s history is rooted in trying new ingredients, processes, and creative, fun ways to brew amazing and unique beer,” says Upslope’s founder Matt Cutter. “As our business grows and as we invest to keep up with demand for our award-winning year-round beers, our passion to concoct new beer always remains. The Lee Hill Series Volume 9 is a shining example of why we are in this business.”

The Lee Hill Series Volume 9 Barrel Aged Dopplebock (9.1% ABV) is a stronger and maltier version of a traditional German Bock beer. The beer was aged for five months in three different barrel types: Maryland-style rye whiskey, Anejo Tequila and American whiskey barrels, which create the perfect blend of classic brewing and American ingenuity. Floral tequila, vanilla and spiced pecan notes overlay a nutty, raisin-like malt structure to create an innovative barrel-aged lager.

On September 8, 2016, from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Upslope will host a release party (which is open to the public) at its Lee Hill tap room (1501 Lee Hill Rd, Boulder, CO 80304). In addition to serving the Barrel Aged Doppelbock on tap, 19.2 oz cans will be available for purchase for $10 (limit six cans per person). The Boulder-local Asian-fusion food truck, Ginger Pig, will serve food for purchase during the event.
